Mix the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the melted butter, egg, and the activated yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough:
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
First Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
Shape the Buns:
Once risen, punch down the dough to release the air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place them on a greased baking sheet, leaving space between each bun.
Second Rise:
Cover the shaped buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until they puff up.
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the buns to cool on a wire rack. They can be served warm or at room temperature.
Enjoy your homemade buns!
